India ratings: ‘Ra.One’ premiere is a hit for Star Gold

As expected, the World TV Premiere of ‘Ra.One’ on Saturday night (21st January) proved a runaway success for Star Gold.

The sci-fi, action blockbuster starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor registered a rating of 6.7 TVR for Star Gold beating all competition in the same slot.

However, ‘Ra.One’ was a little behind the premiere ratings of ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Singham’, which had 10.0 and 8.7 respectively when they were aired first on Star Gold.

In terms of data for Hindi entertainment channels for Week 3 of 2012, Star Plus remained ahead of the game with 293 GRPs (last week 287).

Sony Entertainment Television Asia was in second with 237 GRPs in (last week 226).

Colors was down slightly this with 200 GRPs (last week 208).

ZEE TV was still in the fourth position but up marginally with 185 GRPs (last week 180).

SAB TV was consistent this with 131 GRPs this week (last week 130).

Life Ok suffered a slight bump this week after touching the landmark 100 points last week. It registered 87 GRPs this week (last week 100).

Imagine TV was up this with 65 GRPs (last week 58).
