India ratings: ‘PRDP’ propels Star Plus to No.1

Salman Khan’s romantic blockbuster ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ propelled Star Plus back to No.1 in latest India television ratings.

According to official data for Week 8 of 2016 {HSM: NCCS All: 4+ Individuals: BARC India base ��� All India (U+R), Impressions (000s)}, Star Plus recorded a significant increase with 768495 Impressions (last week 692564), followed by Colors with 725868 Impressions (last week 716604) and ZEE TV in third with 645473 Impressions (last week 666691).

The next tier consisted of ZEE Anmol with 625553 (last week 656412), followed by Star Utsav with 492907 (last week 446217) and Sony Pal with 477372 (last week 433875). In seventh place it was Life Ok with 437776 (last week 465971), followed by Rishtey with 372527 (last week 371925), SAB TV with 363158 (last week 355146) and Sony Entertainment Television Asia with 311654 (last week 336447).

On the programming front, ‘Naagin’ on Colors remained the most watched show with 20229 Impressions (last week 20284), followed by the Asia Cup first match between Bangladesh and India on DD National with 14927. ZEE TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ registered 14190 (last week 15721) in third place.
