India ratings: No change in order; all channels up
Most of the Hindi entertainment channels remained unchanged in pecking order, according to latest viewing data for Week 51.
Colors, STAR Plus and ZEE TV went up on their numbers from last week. Colors was top with 303 GRPs, STAR Plus second with 280 and ZEE TV not far behind with 271.
ZEE TV had reason to celebrate as its newly launched second series ‘Dance India Dance’ opened with an outstanding rating of 3.9 and 4.9 TVRs on Friday (18th December) and Saturday (19th December) respectively. Not only this, the channel’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’ cuts across competition to emerge as the top rated show with a rating of 6.3 TVRs in the fiction genre.
An elated Nitin Vaidya, COO ZEEL and Business Head, ZEE TV said, “It is a feeling of accomplishment. We are motivated with the ratings of Lux Dance India Dance and Pavitra Rishta and overwhelmed by viewers response. This goes to show how eagerly people were waiting for Lux Dance India Dance. Sony Entertainment Television Asia was fourth with 179, NDTV Imagine next with 90 and SAB TV in sixth with 83 GRPs.
