After working his magic on Colors, comedian Kapil Sharma has boosted Sony Entertainment Television Asia in the Urban market, according to official data from BARC India for Week 28 of 2016.

Star Plus remained the firm favourite in the Urban market with 482.054 million Impressions (last week 459.294 million Impressions), followed by Colors with 409.365 million Impressions (last week 435.791 million Impressions) and ZEE TV in third with 334.037 million Impressions (last week 328.823 million Impressions). Sony Entertainment Television Asia moved up to fourth place with 277.843 million Impressions (last week 256.479 million Impressions), followed by Life Ok with 268.809 million Impressions (last week 253.921 million Impressions).

The next tier consisted of SAB TV with 257.074 million Impressions, followed by &TV with 116.628 million Impressions, ZEE Anmol with 106.857 million Impressions, Sony Pal with 106.386 million Impressions and Star Utsav with 103.672 million Impressions.

The most watched show in the Urban market was ZEE TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ with 7.428 million Impressions (last week 7.545 million Impressions), followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ with 6.760 million Impressions and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony TV with 6.168 million Impressions.

In the Rural area, ZEE Anmol held on to the lead with 358.649 million Impressions (last week 369.297 million Impressions), followed by Star Utsav with 333.048 million Impressions (last week 354.191 million Impressions) and Sony Pal with 301.028 million Impressions (last week 300.979 million Impressions). ZEE TV was in fourth with 263.056 million Impressions and Star Plus in fifth with 238.011 million Impressions.

The most watched show in the Rural market was ‘Jodha Akbar’ on ZEE Anmol with 6.936 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ in second with 6.221 million Impressions and ‘Bandini’ on ZEE Anmol with 5.509 million Impressions.
