India ratings: IPL continues to dent Hindi channels

With the homecoming of the Indian Premier League, Hindi entertainment channels witnessed yet another decline in official ratings supplied by TAM for Week 19 of 2014.

According to official data, Star Plus remained the clear leader with 733 TVM this week. The relative share of Star Plus was at 30.47% (last week 746 TVM with 30.21% relative share). Star Plus was a huge 338 GTVMs ahead of the second placed, ZEE TV.

ZEE TV slipped below the 400-mark this week. It delivered 395 GTVM with a relative share of 16.42% (last week 409 TVM and 16.57% relative share).

Colors was in third place with 376 GTVMs and a relative share of 15.63% (last week 396 TVM with 16.04% relative share).

Star Life Ok was in fourth with 348 TVM with a relative share of 14.46% (last week 360 TVM and 14.58%).

Sony Entertainment Television Asia was next sliding further with 286 TVM with a relative share of 11.89% (last week 291 TVM and 11.79% relative share).

Sony SAB TV remained last with 268 TVM. The channel�۪s relative share was at 11.14% (last week 267 TVM and 10.81% relative share).
