India ratings: IPL continues to affect channels

The ongoing Indian Premier League cricket continues to affect the viewership of Hindi entertainment channels.

According to data for Week 17 of 2011, Colors and SAB TV were the only two channels to gain eyeballs compared to their rivals.

Star Plus continues to lead the way with 300 GRPs (319 GRPs last week). Colors went up to 227 GRPs (last week 218). The channel had lost 51 and 31 GRPs in Weeks 15 and 16 respectively.

ZEE TV has garnered 193 GRPs in week 17 (197 GRPs last week).

This week Sony Entertainment Television Asia remained relatively unscathed with 145 GRPs (last week 146). Sister station, SAB TV collected 139 GRPs in week 17 (last week 135).

Imagine TV tumbled down again with 61 GRPs (last week 68).
