India ratings: ‘Dangal’ premieres boosts ZEE TV

ZEE TV surged in latest India ratings on the back of the premiere of Aamir Khan’s blockbuster ‘Dangal’, according to official data from BARC for Week 21 of 2017.

Looking at Urban data, Star Plus remained the most watched Hindi entertainment channel with 453.359 million Impressions, followed by a re-surgent ZEE TV with a huge 404.377 million Impressions and Colors slipping to third with 321.000 million Impressions. Sony SAB TV was placed in fourth with 284.418 million Impressions and Sony Entertainment Television remained in fifth with 252.230 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban sector was ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 6.551 million Impressions, followed by ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Star Plus with 6.551 million Impressions and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs’ on ZEE TV with 5.593 million Impressions.

Looking at Rural data, Sony Pal registered 477.157 million Impressions, followed by Rishtey with 387.018 million Impressions and ZEE Anmol with 368.042 million Impressions. In fourth place was ZEE Anmol with 275.079 million Impressions and Star Utsav stood at No.5 with 273.392 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural sector was ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 5.352 million Impressions, followed by ‘Jamai Raja’ on ZEE Anmol with 5.130 million Impressions and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony Pal with 5.055 million Impressions.
