India Ratings: Colors stays top in Urban market

Colors remained India’s most watched Hindi entertainment channel in the Urban market, according to data from BARC India for Week 47 of 2017.

The channel delivered 431.396 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV with 385.878 million Impressions and Star Plus settling for third with 338.604 million Impressions. In fourth was Star Bharat with 299.488 million Impressions and Sony SAB TV in fifth with 284.362 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban region was ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 7.562 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 7.109 million Impressions and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony SAB TV with 6.166 million Impressions.

In the Rural region, ZEE Anmol was the top channel with 506.368 million Impressions, followed by Sony Pal with 404.562 million Impressions and Star Utsav in third with 375.119 million Impressions. In fourth was Star Bharat with 331.377 million Impressions and Rishtey with 296.974 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural market was ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony Pal with 6.638 million Impressions, followed by ‘Baalveer’ on Sony Pal with 6.574 million Impressions and ZEE Anmol’s ‘Ganga’ with 5.698 million Impressions.

In the combined data for Urban and Rural, ZEE Anmol was biggest channel with 661.157 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV with 653.961 million Impressions and Star Bharat with 630.865 million Impressions.

The top rated show overall was ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 12.816 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 11.657 million Impressions and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony SAB TV with 9.016 million Impressions.
