India ratings: Colors inches closer to Star Plus

Star Plus remained the market leader in India but Colors was not far behind, according to official data from BARC India.

Data for Week 29 of 2015 put Star Plus on top with 403 (000s) GVTs (last week 315 GVTs), followed by Colors with 383 (000s) GVTs (last week 315 GVTs) and ZEE TV in third place with 262 (000s) GVTs (last week 255 GVTs).

The next tier consisted of Life Ok with 238 (000s) GVTs (last week 231 GVTs) and SAB TV dislodged Sony Entertainment Television Asia from fifth with 199 (000s) GVTs.

‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ was the most watched show in India with 6350 TVTs, followed by last week’s top show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ with 5537 TVTs and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ in third with 5314 TVTs.
