India ratings: Colors gets closer to number one

The latest round of India ratings for Week 13 of 2011 shows the battle at the top intensifying between the Hindi entertainment channels.

This time, Colors has improved its performance immensely, putting it just 18 GRPs behind leader, Star Plus. Colors added 15 points in its last week�۪s GRPs, thanks to the movie premiere of ‘Tees Maar Khan’. It remains the second most watched Hindi GEC in India with 272 GRPs (last week 257).

Star Plus suffered a little bit of a loss since last week but remained on top. It garnered 291 GRPs as compared to 305 in the last week.

ZEE TV dealt with a blow too with 187 GRPs, compared to 207 GRPs last week. Sony Entertainment Television Asia remained in fourth settled with 159 GRPs, down from 183 GRPs last week. SAB TV was untouched and unchanged in fifth with a static 136 points.

Imagine TV had a slight reprieve by going up in the ratings from 73 to 81 GRPs this week.
