India ratings: Colors climbs to No.1 position

Colors is officially India’s most watched entertainment channel after beating Star Plus in latest data released by BARC.

According to official figures for Week 34 of 2015, Star Plus dropped only slightly but enough for Colors to takeover. The latter registered 360 million (last week 365 million), while the long-running number one channel, Star Plus grabbed 359 million (last week 387 million). ZEE TV was in third with 264 million (last week 275 million).

Life Ok took fourth place with 224 million (last week 227 million) and SAB TV remained in fifth with 186 million (last week 191 million).

ZEE TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ remained top show in India with 6.6 TVT, followed by ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ with 5.4 TVT and ‘Meri Aashiqui’ in third with 3.3 TVT. Colors dominated the chart with four shows inside the Top 5. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ dropped out of the Top 5.
