India ratings: Colors back at 2; Star Plus & ZEE TV lose

With the telecast of the first ever ‘Golden Petal Awards’ , Colors has re-emerged as the second most watched Hindi entertainment channel.

According to data for the last week of 2011, Colors added 38 points in Week 53 totaling to 256 GRPs (last week 218).

However, it was Star Plus that lead the way with 325 GRPs (last week 344). The ‘Big Star Entertainment Awards’ delivered 4.6 TVR while the finale of ‘MasterChef 2’ ended with a 2.1 TVR.

Sony Entertainment Television Asia back at number three, it ended the year with 240 GRPs this week (last week 235).

ZEE TV was in fourth with 194 GRPs (last week 208).

SAB TV was in fifth with 113 GRPs (last week 122).

Newcomer, Life Ok has suffered a slight loss since its launch week but has maintained well with 74 GRPs this week (last week 87).

Imagine TV managed to stay afloat with 72 GRPs this week (last week 67).
