India ratings: CNN-IBN most watched English news channel

CNN-IBN was India’s most watched English news channel across India in the first quarter of 2011.

According to official data, CNN-IBN leads with a market share of 35%, followed by Times Now with 30%, NDTV 24��7 with a market share of 23%, Headlines Today with 10% and NewsX with a market share of 3%. During the months of April, May and June, CNN-IBN had telecast innovative programming that included a series of specials around the Cricket World Cup featuring 7 former World Champions. Owing to the in-depth and precise reporting by the channel, CNN-IBN also became the most watched English news channel during the recent state elections.
