India ratings: Channels show little improvement

Hindi entertainment channels, Colors and ZEE TV showed signs of recovery in the latest TAM ratings data for Week 21 of 2011.

While Star Plus remained the market leader with 300 GRPs, it did lose 25 points from the week before. However, Colors added 4 points this week, to 230 GRPs. ZEE TV stayed under the 200 mark, much below the channel’s average. It grabbed 191 GRPs this week (183 GRPs last week).

Sony Entertainment Television Asia is waiting for the launch of ‘X Factor India’ this week but unfortunately last week it lost 8 points tumbling to 136 GRPs (last week 144).

Light entertainment channel, SAB TV has again got closer to Sony TV with just 3 points separating the two. The channel has garnered 133 GRPs this week (last week 131).

Imagine TV gained 4 points this week, going up from 64 GRPs to 68 GRPs this week.
