India ratings: Channels begin feeling IPL heat

Hindi entertainment channels have begun feeling the heat from the Indian Premier League after data for Week 15 data from TAM showed a knock-on effect.

This was the first full-week of the IPL telecast, which kept Star Plus ahead of its rivals. Star Plus lost 32 points and delivered 252 GRPs this week (last week 284). The channel did better than Sony MAX, the broadcaster of the IPL. Sony MAX registered 234 GRPs.

In second place was ZEE TV, which recorded 163 GRPs (last week 185). Next was Sony Entertainment Television Asia with 160 GRPs this week (last week 164). Colors remained static with 156 GRPs (last week 156).

Sony SAB TV was next with 137 GRPs (last week 136), while Star Life Ok registered 111 GRPs this week (last week 110).

Sahara One fetched only 19 GRPs (last week 18).
