India ratings: ‘Bigg Boss 4’ finale propels Colors

Colors has witnessed a surge in its ratings after the final of ‘Bigg Boss 4’ delivered huge ratings for the channel.

The last episode of the popular reality TV show aired on Saturday 8th January and fetched 6.7 TVRs, the highest rating for a reality show since January 2010, helping the channel reach 296 GRPs (Wk 2, TAM, HSM, CS4+).

Ashvini Yardi, Head, Programming, Colors said, “We are ecstatic that Bigg Boss Season 4 finale has garnered a fabulous rating of 6.7 which is the highest ever rating marked for any reality show in the year 2010-11. Bigg Boss season 4 which started with a bang with Salman Khan as the host and an eclectic mix of contestants; has been received well by the audience right from its first episode. We are humbled by the viewers amazing response. This is indeed a very big motivation for us to push the envelope further and gear up for the next season with yet another set of interesting elements.”

It was Star Plus though that managed to stay in front with 379 GRPs.

ZEE TV saw a slight lift with 232 GRPs in the number three position, while Sony Entertainment Television Asia dipped a tad to 168 GRPs.

SAB TV and Imagine, too, slid slightly to 138 GRPs and 76 GRPs respectively.
