India ratings: Battle for number 2 gets close

Star Plus remained the dominant player amongst the Hindi entertainment channel in India, despite losing 19 GRPs last week. However, it was clearly ahead of its rivals.

Star Plus touched 259 GRPs (last week 279 GRPs). This is the second consecutive week that the channel has lost near to 20 points.

The battle for this week’s number two player was not so clear with only 6 points separating Sony Entertainment Television Asia, Colors and ZEE TV.

Sony Entertainment Television Asia was in second with 212 GRPs, losing 15 points (last week 227 GRPs). Colors bounced back with 11 new points this week with a total of 211 GRPs (last week 200). ZEE TV was back in fourth after doing well last week in third. It lost 16 GRPs and registered 206 GRPs (last week 222 GRPs).

SAB TV recorded 131 GRPs (last week 134).

Life Ok added 6 points this week, registering 87 GRPs (last week 81 GRPs).

Imagine TV showed recovery this week with 65 GRPs (last week 63 points).

Sahara One fell slightly again down to 45 GRPs (last week 53 GRPs).
