India 24×7 to be rebranded ZEE Hindustan?

Speculation is rife over the future of ZEE Media’s free-to-air Hindi news channel, India 24×7, with rumours of a revamp in the pipeline.

According to Exchange4Media, India 24×7 is likely to be rebranded as ZEE Hindustan – focusing on news reports in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Incidentally, before its name change to India 24×7, the channel was known as ZEE Uttar Pradesh/ZEE Uttarakhand, then later was changed again to ZEE Sangam.

Apparently, the decision on this will be taken after India 24×7 started eating into ZEE News’ audience share. However, ZEE Network is yet to confirm the developments.
