Inder Kumar released on bail

It has recently been revealed that actor Inder Kumar has been released on bail, after being accused for raping and violently assaulting a model-turned-actress.

According to reporters, police failed to find any solid evidence that Kumar had committed the crimes he was accused for. Talking to the media, Mid-Day reported the actor’s manager Om Lakhani stating, “The police could not find any evidence against him and he was granted bail.”

The actor was arrested by Versova police in April, where the girls’ statement read how Kumar had promised to give the budding model a role as a lead actress, within the Indian Film industry before committing his alleged crimes. She had also stated that the actor had kept her in his home in Andheri where he beat her with a beer bottle.
