Income Tax officials probe phone data deletion by Taapsee & Phantom Films officials?

Yesterday, BizAsiaLive.com reported that actress Taapsee Pannu, filmmakers Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena and other officials from Phantom Films were raided in a tax evasion case. It’s now emerged that officials from the Income Tax department on the investigation have apparently said there was data deleted from the phones of many of those raided after the NCB probe following the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.

According to a report in India Today, Pannu is likely to be called back for more interrogation after it emerged that she deleted some data from her phone which they are trying to achieve. It’s thought that she’s being investigated of tax evasion of around Rs 25 crores.

On the other hand, the shareholders of Phantom Films are being investigated for tax evasion of around Rs 600 crores. It is also being said that mobile phone data of Kashyap’s is trying to be retrieved too. As well as this, there’s also a suggestion of fake billing and exaggerated spending while the company was still functional, in order to evade tax payments.
