In Video: Trailer released for Gurinder Chadha’s ‘Christmas Karma’
True Brit Entertainment has released the official trailer for ‘Christmas Karma’, the upcoming film from director Gurinder Chadha.
A musical reimagining of Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’, the film features Kunal Nayyar in the lead role as Mr Sood, a modern-day Scrooge. He is joined on his journey by the Ghosts of Christmas, played by Eva Longoria, Billy Porter and Boy George. The cast also includes Leo Suter, Pixie Lott, Charithra Chandran, Danny Dyer and Hugh Bonneville.
The soundtrack incorporates a mix of gospel, bhangra, rap, Christmas carols and pop influences, with contributions from Gary Barlow, Nitin Sawhney, Shaznay Lewis, Ben Cullum, Panjabi MC and Malkit Singh.

Box Office: ‘Christmas Karma’ opens up at No.7 in UK cinemas
Chadha, best known for directing ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ and ‘Blinded By The Light’, brings her interpretation of Dickens’ classic to the screen in a contemporary musical format.
The movie is scheduled to open in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 14th November.
