In Video: Trailer of ‘Param Sundari’
Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films have released the much-anticipated trailer of ‘Param Sundari’, a sweeping romantic drama starring Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, directed by Tushar Jalota. Set for release on 29 August, the film celebrates a love that transcends geography, language, and cultural boundaries.
Shot against the breathtaking backdrop of Kerala, the trailer captures a heady blend of monsoon-drenched roads, backwater bike rides, and the architectural splendour of centuries-old churches—including a heart-stopping sequence that evokes the timeless romance of SRK and Kajol.
The trailer hints at a poignant emotional undercurrent, with Janhvi’s Sundari exuding grace, charm, and innocence. Draped in elegant chiffon sarees, Kapoor looks radiant as she brings depth to a character rooted in tradition and quiet strength.
“Sundari is deeply personal to me,” Janhvi Kapoor shared. “Her grace, quiet strength, and love for her roots resonate with my own South Indian heritage. Shooting in Kerala, surrounded by such beauty, I felt an emotional connection to her world that I hope the audience will feel too.”
Sidharth Malhotra marks a much-awaited return to his rom-com era with ‘Param Sundari’, and his pairing with Kapoor feels both fresh and magnetic. As Param, he embodies the easy charm of a Delhi boy and Punjabi munda, while effortlessly pulling off the mundu look. His performance balances swagger with sincerity, making the North–South confluence in the film feel organic and heartfelt.

“With ‘Param Sundari’, I feel like I’m revisiting the kind of romance I grew up loving, but telling it in a way that feels fresh and relatable,” Malhotra said. “Param has that Delhi boy charm, with a love story that makes you cross worlds. The music, composed by Sachin–Jigar with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, promises to be integral to the film’s storytelling. ‘Pardesiya’ has already emerged as a fan favourite, while the monsoon-themed ‘Bheegi Saree’ is building anticipation.
