In Video: ‘Mera Love Main’ from ‘Chup’

After launching the intriguing motion posters and impressive trailer of R Balki’s ‘Chup’, the makers of the romantic psychological thriller have launched the first song ‘Gaya Gaya Gaya’ of the highly-anticipated movie.

While the first song from the album of ‘Chup’ gave us a twist of romance and thrill, the second song ‘Mera Love Main’ shot in a unique black and white video backdrop, sees Dulquer Salmaan dancing to the first love song that expresses the feeling of loving one self.

The song launched recently comes from the incredible and experimental music director Amit Trivedi who has also crooned it and penned by lyricist Swanand Kirkire.

R Balki says, “Chup is a different genre, not explored before. Amit Trivedi, one of the very few complete film composers has given the film two wonderful songs. ‘Mera Love Main’ is Swanand and Amit’s ode to loving one self.”

Amit Trivedi adds, “Composing for Chup was a different and challenging experience altogether. Since the film is quite complex in terms of characters, narrative and circumstances, the task was to live up to Balki sir’s expectations. It’s one of my favourite songs of the film”.

R Balki is not only known to be one of the finest storytellers of Bollywood, but he has also explored unconventional themes successfully in mainstream cinema.

Headlining a power-packed cast of the film is Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary, who made a mark for herself with Scam: 1992, and Pooja Bhatt, who recently made a massive comeback with Bombay Begums. The movie is directed by R Balki and produced by Hope Productions and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. The film is written by R Balki himself based on the story he started working on a few years ago. The screenplay and dialogues have been co-written by R Balki, critic-turned-writer Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani.

Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) presents the film and all India distribution is by Pen Marudhar. The Director of Photography is Vishal Sinha and Music Director is Amit Trivedi, Sneha Khanvilkar and Aman Pant. Pranab Kapadia and Anirudh Sharma are Co-Producers of the film. The music is on Saregama.

The film is set to release on Friday 23rd September.
