In Pictures: Priyanka Chopra as Babli Badmaash

Priyanka Chopra is soon to have a fresh tag added to her; that of Babli Badmaash. That is, of course, the title of the item song that Chopra will be seen in in ‘Shootout at Wadala’. This will be the first time Chopra turns item girl and the song will be her tribute to Amitabh Bachchan.

The song will be in typical 80s style and is sung by the talented and versatile Sunidhi Chauhan. Manish Malhotra has designed the costume and it will include LED lights fitted to it in true ‘Yaarana’ (1981) style. Bachchan, in the film, was seen in a bulb outfit which he is remembered for even today.

Talking about the song, Ekta Kapoor told Times of India, “”Priyanka’s��first association with Balaji had to be special. We went through numerous tracks before finalising on what we all felt was a winner. Priyanka has taken it to a new level and will become synonymous with Babli”.

Ahmed Khan has choreographed the song and it is Anu Malik’s composition. An excited Chopra also expressed, “I had��a blast shooting��for it. I love the track and I’m excited to work with Ekta, Sanjay, Ahmed, Anu sir and the rest of the team”.
