In Picture: New Yash Raj show on Sony TV

As we revealed on BizAsia.co.uk last week, a new show hosted by Karan Johar, produced by Yash Raj Films will be going live later this year.
The programme titled, ‘Mera Sabse Bada Fan Banega Mera Sabse Bada Hero’, will find the biggest fan for 20 select celebrities. The fans will get an opportunity to prove to the entire world that they are the biggest fan of their favourite celebrity. To achieve this following process is being followed:

1) Sony TV is doing a 12 city audition across India between 31st October – 8th November (Lucknow, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Delhi, Indore, Ahmedabad, Kolkatta, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai). This entire activity is being pushed thru multi-media promotion (TV, Radio, Outdoor, Ground Promotion, Internet).

2) At the audition venues across these cities – contestants will give their personal details and showcase why he/she think that they are the biggest fans of their chosen celebrity (can be thru testimonials by neighbours, their specialised knowledge about their favourite celeb, actions – like someone has watched every single SRK movie, someone has married a guy called “Raj” due to SRK character in DDLJ etc.). There will be a team at each audition center who will be interacting with the contestants to ascertain their claim of being the biggest fan.

3) Fans from outside India will be sending video entries on the specially created microsite (myfanmyhero.setindia.com) and these entries will be collated along with the ground auditions entries from India.

4) Post the entire audition process – Top 3 fans will be shortlisted from this total pool and they will undergo a challenged to find out the biggest fan. Thus the channel will find the biggest fan for each of the 20 celebrities.
