Imtiaz Ali replaces Anushka Sharma with Deepika Padukone?

Ex-flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are ready to set the screen on fire once again in Ayan Mukerji’s forthcoming, ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’. However, if news is to be believed, Imtiaz Ali may also bring the pair together in his next venture now that Anushka Sharma is unable to take up the role in his film.

As reported by Filmfare, due to the long-running delay in the ‘Dhoom 3’ schedule, Aamir Khan has had to put back his dates for Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Peekay’ in which Sharma is playing lead. This has, as expected, also created havoc in Sharma’s schedules and she has therefore had to opt out of Ali’s film. The film is expected to go on the floors in 2014 which would have been after Sharma finished shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’.

However, this could be a blessing in disguise for Padukone who, it seems, Ali is keen to cast instead. Watch this space and continue visiting BizAsia for more!
