Imran Khan unaware of Ayushmann Khurrana replacing him in ‘Milan Talkies’

Imran Khan has admitted that he was not aware he had been replaced with Ayushmann Khurrana in Balaji Motion Pictures’ next ‘Milan Talkies’, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.

When asked by PinkVilla if Khan was still doing the film, he said, “Apparently not.” He added that he was not aware of the change of film title too from ‘Milan Talkies’ to ‘Bhoole Se Naam’.

Khan said, “I was also surprised by the new title, when I’d agreed to do the film, it was ‘Milan Talkies’. In my last conversation with Tigmanshu about a month-and-a-half back, I was told that the script was being fine-tuned and developed and he was also tweaking the climax.”

He continued, “We were working on the script and casting but my focus then was on ‘Katti Batti’. Now what happened in between, I have not been briefed. All this is news to me.”

Says he, “I will find that out today. I have asked my team to figure out what happened. Today when I woke up I saw the story. I spoke to Ekta couple of months back. My last meeting was with the director,” said Imran, who says that he is no longer surprised by the industry’s ways.
