Imran Khan not had chance to work with big directors

Imran Khan Katti Batti

Imran Khan is coming back to the big screen in Nikhil Advani directed Katti Batti۪ after a gap of two years. He recently said that he۪s not had the chance to work with big directors.

IBN Live report the actor saying, I۪ve never had the chance to work with big directors. I۪ve built my career on first-time directors — whether it is Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na۪ (Abbas Tyrewala), Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu۪ (Shakun Batra), I Hate Luv Storys۪ (Punit Malhotra) or Mere Brother Ki Dulhan۪ (Ali Abbas Zafar).۝

He continued, Every hit film that I have done in my career has been made by a first-time director. When I have worked with established directors, those films have not worked۝.

He also spoke about why he۪s chosen to act with a established director this time round for Katti Batti۪. I have done work that I know I am happy with. I have made a film that I am very proud of. Whether others will like it or not it۪s not in my hand. I۪ve made some films which I disliked quite a bit and I۪m very ashamed of, and people would have come up to me and said, I love the film. It۪s such a wonderful film.۪

There are enough films that I۪m not proud of at all. So, you never know what people will like or they will dislike. If anyone is honest, they cannot say that they are proud of every film that they make. Nobody can be. For me, Katti Batti۪ is one of those rare films which I can look up and say that ‘I۪m proud of this,۝ he added.

Katti Batti۪ will see Khan opposite Kangna Ranaut for the first time and it۪s slated for release on 18th September.
