Imran Khan makes his directorial debut with a short film

Imran Khan who was last on our screens in ‘Katti Batti’ (2015) is all set to make his directorial debut for a digital production.

Reported on Hindustan Times, Khan has directed a short film titled ‘Mission Mars: Keep Walking India’, which has been produced under Dharma 2.0 banner (part of Dharma Productions). In a statement Khan shares his joy, “It has been an enriching experience writing and directing this tribute to India’s commitment to progress, and for this to be backed by Johnnie Walker – The Journey and Dharma 2.0 made it even more special.”

“Mission Mars has made all of us so proud, and I have tried to encapsulate the spirit of all those who made this achievement possible,” added Khan. The inspiration behind story comes from India’s Rover mission, successfully orbiting Mars on the eve of it’s four anniversary. ‘Jonnie Walker – The Journey’ is launching the film, celebrating India’s technological progress.

The vice president of marketing for DIAGEO India, Abhishek Shahabadi also shared his excitement for the film, “We are extremely excited to be able to tell this inspiring story of progress which builds immense pride amongst all Indians. Mission Mars: Keep Walking India brings to life positivity of the human spirit and shows how hope and optimism can motivate people to come together for a better future.”

‘Mission Mars: Keep Walking India’ is being launched next week on Wednesday 20th September. The film stars, Prakash Belawadi, Abhishek Saha and Sonali Sachdev.
