Imran Khan feels positive about ‘Katti Batti’ response

Imran Khan Katti Batti

Imran Khan’s last film ‘Katti Batti’ (2015) didn’t fair too well at the box office, and though many actors would see this as a failure, he is looking at all the positives.

“People went to watch it thinking it was a Kangna Ranaut film, but came out praising my performance. For me, it was a win-win situation. I have no control over the box office, I really liked the film,” Mumbai Mirror report the actor stating.

Khanseems to be taking things slow on the acting front. News has it that he is still figuring out what he wants to do and is in the process of reading a few scripts that have come his way. He explained, “I have shared ideas on them with the directors and we’ll go ahead if something clicks. The story has to be interesting.”

Reports suggested that the actor was signed for Aanand L Rai’s Hindi remake of the Tamil hit film ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’ (2013). However, Khan he decided not to do the project in the end, whereKartik Aaryan was signed instead. “I was offered the part in early 2014. I had seen the original and liked it but since it was being made in Hindi, the setting had to be changed. I asked them to come back with a Hindi script. That never happened. They simply announced that I was doing the film with Shruti (Haasan). I opted out of it in mid-2015,” he explained.

Here’s hoping Khan’s next film brings more excitement to him and to the screen.
