Imagine forced to change title of new show

Imagine…Dil Se has been forced to change the name of its upcoming show ‘Aarakshan’ after a legal dispute favoured filmmaker Prakash Jha, who owns the title rights.

‘Aarakshan’ will be Prakash Jha’s next directorial venture starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn in lead roles. However, the channel had been promoting an upcoming show with the same name.

Reportedly, Prakash Jha tried to reason with the makers of the show regarding the use of term, Aarakshan in the show’s title as Jha already owned the rights to it. However, due to non-compliance from the channel’s end, the filmmaker slapped a legal notice to restrain Imagine from using a similar name.

Imagine will now have to change the name of its show, which starts next month. The new name is yet to be confirmed.
