Actor Saif Ali Khan, who is one of the most liberal actors of Bollywood, values education and it can be observed with his statement that if his daughter Sara would have planned to quit college for film then he would have shot her.

When quizzed on her daughter Sara’s plan to join Hindi film industry, Khan told IANS, “Of course, I won’t have any problem. It is a wonderful profession. But I would have a problem with her leaving the college and getting into movies. She is currently studying in her second year at Columbia University. One day, she messaged me saying she wants to join movies. It was a slightly strangely-worded message but I replied, ‘Yes, but after college.’ Nobody leaves Columbia University! Anyone in the world would give their left arm to go to an Ivy League university.”

Further the ‘Humshakals’ (2014) star said, “I wish someone would have told her that I would have shot her if she even thinks about leaving college. This degree is your only passport from the husband that beats you to a country that collapses economically, you can survive everything. She can get a job anywhere in the world. It would be foolish of her to leave that to act. She can do that after she completes her education.”

“I am a very concerned father. One of the things I am more concerned about, is education,” added Khan.

Saying that may be his statement will put all the rumors hinting his daughter getting into films, Khan jokingly said that Sara might not enter Bollywood anytime soon but maybe soon there will be news about his son Ibrahim getting into films, if he doesn’t stop taking selfies with Varun Dhawan.

Khan’s kids Ibrahim and Sara, stay with his first wife Amrita Singh.

Meanwhile, Khan is busy promoting ‘Happy Ending’ which also stars Kalki Koechlin, Ileana D’Cruz, Govinda, Preity Zinta and others. The film is slated to release on 21st November.
