ILM Radio begins testing ahead of Sky launch

ILM Radio has begun testing ahead of its official launch on Sky Digital.

The station billed as the UK’s first Islamic educational radio, was due to launch on Monday 22nd June but has been delayed. It now is expected to hit the Sky EPG before the end of the month.

ILM Radio has confirmed it will be launching on channel 0161. Its parent company will also be foraying into TV with the launch of the Ummah Channel sometime next month.

Audio tests can be tuned in by following the steps below:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> System Setup (4)
-> Add Channels (4)
-> Enter the frequency: 11.222 (H), FEC 2/3, Symbol Rate 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “52026” service and press Yellow button.
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> “52026” should be listed and available

Update on 20/07/09: ILM Radio has launched on Sky Digital channel 0161.
