Without a shadow of doubt, the film that many were hailing last year was Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi!’ and it has achieved no less than 13 nominations at this year’s International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) with Ranbir Kapoor bagging the most overall.

Other movies that have got multiple nominations in various categories include Ayushmann Khurrana’s hearty debut, ‘Vicky Donor’, as well as Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. ‘Agneepath’ which kicked off 2012 also has a few nominations. Yash Chopra’s final goodbye, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, has also gained a place in the nominations for his cinematic excellence that is hard to ignore no matter the mixed reviews the film got.
