ZEE Network is not giving up without a fight! After earlier being denied recognition by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Indian Cricket League (ICL) has sent a legal notice to the BCCI, ICC and English Cricket Board (ECB) over the same issue.

The notice says that “the BCCI engaged in a range of activities clearly calculated to deter and prevent prospective players from involving themselves with ICL”.

The ECB has been named as the first respondent in the notice while the BCCI and ICC have been named as second and third respondents respectively.

The parties have been given until Monday 7th December 2009 to respond failing which the Essel Group has threatened to move the court. Reports state that in all probability this will happen in the UK.

Earlier this month Subhash Chandra had been quoted in reports saying that the BCCI had done everything it could to monopolise the game and to throw the ICL out of business.
