Hum TV came up trumps in an exclusive poll ran by the UK’s only Asian media news website, BizAsiaLive.com.
In a two-week poll, readers were asked to vote for their favourite Pakistani entertainment channel in the UK. Out of the 297 people that voted, Hum TV grabbed the majority of the votes with 70% of the share. It won 207 of the votes. Not the biggest surprise as the channel has been performing exceptionally well in UK ratings since its launch. The channel has an average weekly reach of over 500,000 viewers.
Other contenders in the list were ARY Digital in second with 16% (48 votes) and Geo TV in third with just 7% (20 votes).
The other 7% was for “Other channels”, which could include independent services like DM Global, Venus TV and TV99 – all of whom regularly broadcast shows for Pakistani viewers.
