Hum News tests appear on Sky ahead of UK launch

Pakistani news channel, Hum News is on course to launch later this month and this morning tests have appeared for the new service on Sky.

Hum News will be the latest entrant in the UK market in an already saturated Pakistani news genre.

A launch date for Hum News is yet to be confirmed. However, tests for standard definition channels can take up to two weeks before officially going live.

Hum News will be third channel in the popular Hum TV Network – Hum TV and Hum Masala – both slot leaders in their respective genres.

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.538 (V), FEC: 5/6, SR: 22000 / DVB-S / QPSK
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “22618″ service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> Click on “22618” to view the channel
