Hum Europe set for launch in March

Hum Europe’s launch on Sky Digital has been pushed back by one week, BizAsia can confirm.

The popular Pakistani entertainment channel, which was expected to join the Sky line-up on Monday (3rd March), will now launch on Monday 10th March 2014.

BizAsia had exclusively confirmed last week that marketing and sales will be handled by Evolution, a company, which is outsourced by Hum TV worldwide. Evolution itself is an advertising agency which started its operations in Pakistan and is now in USA and UAE too. Its one of the biggest advertising agencies in ethnic media.

Whilst EPG data tests of Hum Europe began a few days ago on Sky Digital, audio and visual tests are expected to start by the weekend. BizAsia understands that the launch has been postponed due to technical issues between Hum Europe and Sky.

Hum Europe will be available free-to-air on Sky channel 859.

The EPG tests currently show data of programmes that will broadcast on the channel.
The tests can be viewed at the following parameters below:
-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu

-> Highlight 52050? service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
