Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Super 30’ poster revives nepotism debate

The recently-released poster of Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming biopic film based on the life of iconic mathematician Anand Kumar from Bihar, ‘Super 30’, reads, “Ab raja ka beta raja nahin banega. Ab raja wahi banega jo hoga haqdaar.” (A king’s son will no longer become the king. Now, only the deserving will be crowned.)

Deccan Chronicle reports that this line has seemingly revived the nepotism debate launched previously by Kangna Ranaut. In addition to this, ‘Super 30’ and Ranaut’s upcoming Historical film, ‘Manikarnika’ are both set to release on the 25th of January, 2019. However, with portions of ‘Manikarnika’ currently being reshot, it’s uncertain whether the film will be ready in time, leaving Roshan with a clear field during the Republic Day weekend festivities.

Similarly, Roshan’s crime-thriller film ‘Kaabil’ (2017) released on Republic Day weekend and Rakesh Roshan reportedly intends to schedule the next instalment of the ‘Krrish’ series for release on Republic Day 2020.
