Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ role inspired by ‘Top Gun’?

With rumours abuzz of Hrithik Roshan taking up Sidharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’, the latest buzz says that his role is inspired by Tom Cruise in ‘Top Gun’.

If Roshan signs the project, it will be the actor’s first role as an Indian Air Force pilot.

A source told DNA India, “It was during the making of Bang Bang that Siddharth had narrated the idea to Hrithik. Once the script was completely finished, he took it to the actor again. Hrithik liked the script. After that, Siddharth stepped out of Sanjay Dutt�۪s return vehicle Badlaa. And Hrithik got busy shooting for Sanjay Gupta�۪s Kaabil. But after that film is completed, his dates are free as the actor has not committed to any other film. He even walked out of Thug.”

Roshan and Anand have worked together previously in ‘Bang Bang’. There are rumours that Roshan’s father, Rakesh Roshan could produce the film.
