Hrithik-Kareena in KJo۪s next

Hrithik-Kareena
Hrithik-Kareena may star in Karan Johar's next

Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor have never worked together since news of their alleged romance broke out. They۪ve done four films – Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham۪ (2001), Yaadein۪ (2001), ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’ (2002) and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003), of which only ‘K3G’ did well while the other three were unmitigated disasters.

There were whispers of them coming together for The Immortals of Meluha۪, but the latest buzz is that the dashing duo are now set to star in an entirely new script for Dharma Productions, directed by Karan Malhotra who directed Agneepath۪ earlier this year.

A source close to Kapoor told Mumbai Mirror, “Kareena is Karan Johar’s 3 am friend. She constantly takes his advice for her film projects. Every Dharma movie that Kareena has done has taken her career a few notches further. When she was told about Malhotra’s script, she immediately agreed, as she completely trusts KJo and treats him as a brother.”

The source added, “The script is new. It is not based on ‘The Immortals of Meluha’. This will be one of the biggest projects for KJo next year, and he is looking forward to it. A big announcement is expected soon.”

If there is anyone that can pull of this casting coup its Karan Johar and if he does manage to then this will be one venture worth looking out for.

Kapoor on her part remained unavailable for comment.
