Hotstar removes Hardik Pandya & KL Rahul ‘Koffee With Karan’ episode

Star TV’s digital platform, Hotstar has removed a controversial episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ featuring cricketers, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul.

The episode was aired on Star TV last weekend, which has since come under fire for sexist and misogynist comments made by Pandya. This has now forced Star India to pull down the episode from all streams including Hotstar online and its mobile app.

Pandya and Rahul have been served with notices by the BCCI. Pandya took to social media earlier this week to apologise. He said, “After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect,” Rahul hasn’t said a word in regards to the matter.

On the show, Hardik, while talking about why Hardik does not ask names of the women he meets in nightclubs, said, “I like to watch and observe how they (women) move [in nightclubs]. I’m little from the Black side so I need to see how they move.”
