Hospital confirms SP Balasubramaniam’s condition “extremely critical”

Singer SP Balasubramaniam is said to be “extremely critical” after taking a turn for the worse over the past 24 hours, hospital officials have confirmed.

In a health bulletin released by the hospital, it said, “Thiru SP Balasubrahmanyam who had been admitted at MGM Healthcare on August 5th, remains on ECMO and other life support measures. His condition in the last 24 hours has deteriorated further warranting maximal life support and he is extremely critical. The team of experts at MGM Healthcare are closely monitoring his health condition.”

Balasubramaniam was admitted into hospital on 5th August after testing positive for coronavirus. He was put on a ventilator on 13th August after his condition deteriorated.
