Hollywood commitments prevent Priyanka Chopra working in SLB’s next?

International superstar Priyanka Chopra did well at the IIFA Awards at the weekend as she was honoured with both ‘Best Actress in a Supporting role’ for ‘Bajirao Mastani'(2015) and the ‘Woman of the Year’ award.

It appears the diversity covered by the two honours depicts the ‘Barfi'(2012) actress’s real life, professional and personal dilemma who is not going to be teaming up with director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his next on either of his upcoming ventures. Buzz in the grapevine had suggested Chopra was being considered for roles in either Bhansali’s ‘Gustakhiyaan’ or ‘Padmavati’.

Following the awards at a press meeting, the actress clarified that due to prior commitments in Hollywood, which will be taking up her schedule until March 2017, she would not be reuniting with her ‘Bajirao Mastaai’ director-producer. Although the ‘Mary Kom'(2014) superstar mentioned that Bhansali had discussed “the film” with her, things couldn’t work out and, in fact, she would not be doing any other Hindi movie in the meantime.

Chopra is set to return to New York City soon to resume shooting of the second season of popular show ‘Quantico'(2015) which is produced by ABC Network.
