Hina Khan open to taking up a daily TV show

Hina Khan is synonymous for her role as Akshara in the longest running Indian television show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ but recently she strengthened her star status after appearing in ‘Bigg Boss 11’.

The actress, who recently finished shot for short film ‘Smart Phone’, hasn’t completely ruled out a daily television show. She told Hindustan Times, “The audience is spoilt for choice as the digital sphere has changed the way we consume content today. There’s a lot more content being generated and Indian content is competing with international shows as we have so many options to choose from. As a consumer, it’s great because you are spoilt for choice but as a content creator, you are facing a tough competition. Digital is still in the growing space in India but with time, there will be a lot of clutter. I hope the clutter will help good content shine! Competition, at times, brings out the best in people.”

She added, “I am open to doing a daily show but it has to be something which excites and challenges the actor inside me. Even I don’t know what’s next. I’m taking one day at a time and my choices aren’t based on the genre or mediums but rather on the work. I want to do a different kind of work which is also challenging and exciting for me as an actor. I’m constantly working towards reinventing myself and learning in the process!”
