Hina Khan on film choices & plans for ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ return

A few months back, Hina Khan walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 for the screening of her debut film ‘Lines’ (2019). Khan is now set to embark on her second movie based on the book, ‘The Country Of The Blind’.

Reported on TOI, ‘The Country Of The Blind’ is an Indo-Hollywood film, where Khan will be essaying a visually challenged girl. Khan also attended a blind school workshop to help prepare for her role, sharing her experience she said, “Eyes are our window to the world, but I also feel that when God takes away something, he blesses you with many other things. These individuals are capable of achieving so much more than others.”

Talking about her movie choices, Khan said female actors can’t wait forever to land a film opposite an A-list Bollywood actor. “Most girls, who want to become film actresses, look for roles in commercial movies. But every actress can’t wait forever to land a role opposite a big Bollywood actor. Also, I think that it’s important to be part of a film that has scope for you to perform. That is the reason I chose to debut with ‘Lines’, and now, I’m doing ‘The Country of The Blind’.”

Last seen in the popular television drama ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’ on Star Plus, Khan isn’t looking to return on the small screens just yet, “Currently, I am busy with my movie projects and I don’t think that I will be a part of the show anytime soon. But, you never know what the future has in store for you.”
