Himesh Reshammiya to score music for SRK film

Music director Himesh Reshammiya is looking likely to bag the much coveted Rohit Shetty project ‘Chennai Express’ starring Shah Rukh Khan.

According to reports, Ajay Devgn who has worked with Reshammiya on ‘Son Of Sardar’ (2012), suggested to Shetty about a possible collaboration.

This will be the first time Reshammiya will compose music for a Shah Rukh Khan movie. He has previously worked closely with Khan’s rival, Salman Khan on hit soundtracks like ‘Bodyguard’ (2011), ‘Tere Naam’ (2003) and ‘Hello Brother’ (2009).

‘Chennai Express’ is a romantic-comedy, which goes on the floors this October for a release next year. A female lead will be announced soon with Deepika Padukone and Asin favourites to land the role.
