‘Heroine’ first teaser postponed
The much-awaited first promo of Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’ was expected on 1st June with Sanjay Leela Bhansali produced ‘Rowdy Rathore’. However, the teaser has indeed been delayed which will be much to the disappointment of fans.
The delay comes as a result of a dispute between Bhandarkar and the producers of the movie, according to Times of India. It is thought the disagreement is in a difference of opinion as to how and where the first teaser should be released. The producers are of the thinking that the promo is too dark and will not get a green light from the censor boards. Leading lady Kareena Kapoor, in the first look, is to be shown drinking and smoking. Bhandarkar has also agreed to the delay because he wants to shoot some extra parts to add to it.
The director confirmed, “We want our teaser to reach as many people as possible and I now realise this. I will be including some very powerful shots in the new teaser. These shots will come in the next schedule of the film only. But it will be worth the wait”.
‘Heroine’ is slated for release in September and this delay will onlyup the buzz and hype which already surrounds the movie. Stay tuned to BizAsia for more updates about the movie.
