Hema Malini on Alia Bhatt in ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’ remake

Hema Malini has spoken about her adulation for Alia Bhatt and says she would like to see her play the lead role in ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’ (1972) if ever it was remade.

She was cited in The Indian Express saying, “Alia Bhatt. I did that movie when I was very young. So, if I consider the age factor, it should be someone with a mischevious streak and I think Alia has that in her.”

She also spoke about her daughter Esha Deol’s pregnancy, saying, “If it’s a girl, I will teach her Bharatnatyam. If it’s a boy, he will have to learn the Georgian dance!”

Talking about how she felt when she first heard about Esha’s pregnancy, Malini said, “I was waiting for that (Esha’s pregnancy) and sensed it was happening but I didn’t want to ask. Esha told me when the time comes I will tell you. I said fine, I will wait. But we were always praying for the best to happen so we are very excited about it! My daughter is staying with me and I am looking after her as a mother. We keep talkingaboutkyakarna hai, kaise karna hai…”
