Asian DAB Limited, which was previously known as Sunrise Radio Scotland Limited, is facing a wind-up petition by a number of creditors, to whom the station owes money too.

The meeting of creditors is taking place in Essex on Wednesday 18th December at 11:00. It is being summoned by the Joint Liquidators for the purpose of forming a creditors۪ committee or in the alternative to determine the basis of the Joint Liquidators۪ remuneration.

Sunrise Radio ceased broadcasting on digital radio in Scotland due to financial issues. Since then, the station’s financial troubles have come to light.

In October, Sunrise Radio settled its much publicised tax payment after paying HMRC a debt of nearly 400,000. At the time, the station said the dispute rose when HMRC demanded 390,000 but only 352,000 was due. While, this debt was cleared, other creditors have been after the station for outstanding payments.
